The 10 Best Things To Do In Sydney Australia

Planning your luxury Australia travel itinerary, why not consider the following 10 best things to do in Sydney Australia?

Australia is a vast continent where you can stroll on white sands, snorkel in blue waters, wander through green rainforest or drive across an endless red desert.

You can enjoy some of the Worlds best restaurants, wineries, galleries and shops. Or you can share Australians’ love of sport – from a round of golf on a kangaroo-covered course to a seat at a fast-paced Aussie Rules football match

One enjoyable memory of my travels is Eungella National Park which is located approximately 70 kilometres inland from Mackay and roughly 900 metres above sea level.

It was a late evening drive to the park and the road was spotted with Cane Toads.

I remember seeing a sign indicating it was a steep climb.

After driving around Cairns I felt I was prepared but I didn’t realise what was ahead. As the climb got steeper and steeper, I realised that I should have put it into four wheel drive before I started the climb. Unfortunately the Landcruiser did not have auto locking hubs.

I am a deeply spiritual person, but I am certainly not a religious person.

With that in mind one of my most memorable stays was at the Buddhist Temple just out of Bundanoon in New South Wales.
Bundanoon the town is on a side road approximately 30 kilometres from the Hume Highway roughly 120 kilometres from Sydney.

I heard about this particular temple from a friend. I was aware of other temples up the coast but this place was ideal for my plans to head to Melbourne. It turned out to be ideal for more reasons than one. When I phoned there to find out what was required of me to stay there I was very pleasantly surprised.

Flight Over Lake Eyre

We had one last holiday with just the two of us before the birth of our first child and it was either head up north to get away from the cold Melbourne winter, or head across to the Flinders Ranges and do a charter flight over Lake Eyre. After some discussion it was decided that due to the massive rains that occurred in Western Queensland earlier this year, the phenomena of Lake Eyre in flood was just to good an opportunity, and so it was West we were heading.

Australia-A-Land-of-Natural-Wonders

The huge monolith known as Uluru – formerly Ayer’s Rock – remains one of Australia’s most mysterious and beautiful natural features. Rising more than 1,000 feet above the flat red center of the continent, “The Rock” is eight miles in circumference and honeycombed with caves, displaying Aboriginal wall art. Uluru once stood at the bottom of an inland ocean, and is a spectacular sight as it changes color through the day. The sandstone it is composed of contains many minerals like feldsparwhich reflect shades from deep red to violet, according to the angle of the sun.
